3. HILL BAR
The live band performance makes a trip to this bar very exciting.

The Hill Bar stands on a little hill in front of Baiyun Hotel, just west of the Guanzhou World Trade Center.

4. TANG CLUB
Probably one of the best known clubs in the city, one can enjoy contemporary rock performances whilst sipping on a glass of ordered drinks.

This is one of the most expensive places to hang out in Guangzhou, featuring a live band that plays good old rock-and-roll as well as contemporary rock. This is the place to be seen. The crowd is a mixture of expats and local wannabes. A small bottle of beer costs ¥50.

5.STRANGE BREW
Boasting of one of the finest locations, this is the place to have the cheapest wines and beer.

"Strange Brew" is homely and simple, the furniture is comfy and functional, lighting is subdued and subtle. There is an excellent range of spirits just behind the bar, including some top-shelf Canadian whiskies and brandies.

6.THE CAVE

A favored haunt of the expat English teachers and the occasional businessman, The Cave doesn’t tend to get going until after 10:00 PM – and sometimesmuch later than that.

7.GIPSY KING BAR

8.SLEEPING WOOD CAFE
A fixture among expats looking for a quiet place to toss back a pint or two (or three of four), this is a subdued spot with good cocktails and a friendly, no-nonsense atmosphere -- as opposed to the chaos of nearby Heping Lu bar street. The outdoor patio is cozy and the music is tolerable. The extensive menu ensures that you won't just fill up on alcohol. Good place to meet up and chat with your mates before heading out.
